Jirapa Community Nursing Trainees Weep Over 10 Months’ Unpaid Allowances

Trainees are the Jirapa Community Nursing Training College have cried overdue their ten (10) months unpaid allowances, a very worrisome situation.

A media report by Mynewsgh.com has indicated that the aggrieved trainees have gone through all the necessary procedures and paper works to be paid their allowances.

The students clearly stated that they have engaged the appropriate authorities, yet the outcome is still zero.

Meanwhile, Akufo-Addo led government through the Ministry of Health all nursing training allowances have been paid including those in 3 months arrears.

Read the official statement by the Ministry of Health indicating the government has paid all monies on Thursday, August 8, 2019.

The statement said;

“This is in fulfilment of the government’s commitment to the restoration of the Nursing Trainees allowance in 2017.”

It added that “each trainee nurse received an amount of GH¢400 for 10 months in each academic year to support their academic and clinical work.”
