Ghanaians mount pressure on Akufo-Addo to speak on violence in Nigeria

Ghanaians have taken to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other social media platforms to mount pressure on Akufo-Addo to speak on the ongoing violence in Nigeria.

Nigeria as a country is going through a difficult time as Police brutality on citizens keeps increasing by the day. Several reports have revealed that many protestors had been killed in the Lagos on Wednesday.

However, making matters worst is the long silence of President Akufo-Addo who doubles as the president of the West Africa sub-regional body ECOWAS.

Well-meaning Ghanaians including top celebrities think the silence of president Akufo-Addo in speaking to the violence in Nigeria is very worrying.

Thus, they have taken to various social media platforms to call on Akufo-Addo to speak on the violence going on in Nigeria now.

Actress Yvonne Nelson in a tweet said;

“Where is the AFRICAN UNION (AU) ? where is ECOWAS?? West african leaders, where are you?? 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬 speak for the people of NIGERIA! AFRICA AND THE WORLD IS WATCHING”
