Fast-rising Reggae and Dancehall musician, Eugenia Laryea popularly known as Euni Melo has won the ‘Best Reggae Dancehall Song’ at the just ended Upcoming Ghana Music Awards 2020.
The event was held yesterday, May 20, 2020, at the Ceejay Multimedia Studio, Lapaz despite the heavy downpour.
The ‘Upcoming Ghana Music Awards’ was instituted to reward and encourage young musicians for their collective efforts towards the development of the Ghana music industry.
Euni Melo winning the ‘Best Reggae Dancehall Song’ category is another proof that she is one of the promising female musicians to put Ghana on the world’s music map.
She has won more awards than any young female musician in Ghana, a fact which can’t be disputed.
In 2018, the PPP Records signee won the Best New Comer Video at 3rd TV Music Video Awards 2018 with her Naakp3 hit song.
However, in 2019 she won two awards namely; “Best New Ga Dangbe Act” at Gome Awards and “Dancehall song of the year” at Emerging Music Awards.
