Ghanaian referee collapses during Cote d’Ivoire, Ethiopia AFCON qualifier encounter

A Ghanaian referee of the Ghana Referees Association has reportedly collapsed in the wake of officiating the AFCON 2021 qualifier encounter between Cote d’Ivoire and Ethiopia.

According to reports, referee Charles Bulu could not finish with his officiating duties after collapsing in the 80th minute of the game that had the Ivorian side winning by three goals to one.

As to what caused his collapse we can’t tell but Mr. Charles Bulu couldn’t stand on his feet and had to be stretched off the field.

Following the unfortunate incident, the fourth referee took charge of the remaining minutes of the game.
