#FixTheCountry: NDC MP Lights Up Teshie Fishing Beach, Sangonaa

Ledzokuku MP

Teshie is a fishing community located along with the coastal areas in the Greater Accra Region.

Prior to the establishment of the Tema Fishing Harbour, Teshie was known to be the largest fishing community with the sea serving as the major source of livelihood for thousands of its inhabitants.

In line with the unwavering commitment of the Member of Parliament for the constituency Hon. Ben Ayiku to install street lights at every nook and cranny within the constituency, the MP and his ” Let there be light” team embark upon a massive installation exercise of LED street lights at Teshie Sangonaa.

Areas covered during the installation of the street lights include the landing beach site, fishnet mending, and patching area, fish processing pavilion site, premix fuel sales point, and the dry dock area.

The exercise attracted scores of excited-looking residents who described the gesture as a welcome relief since they can now afford to freely move about in the night, hitherto, one could not dare for fear of being attacked by unknown hoodlums.
