Youtube, an online video-sharing platform has taken down a music video ‘EAT’ by a Ghanaian musician Mr. Drew from its platform.
Apparently, the video was blocked on YouTube after a copyright infringement was reported by intellectual property firm – EMPIRE.
The video, which has equally featured Stonebwoy appears to be doing very well on the video-sharing platform in terms of views and trends.
Just a week after its release, ‘EAT’ has so far gathered 151,573 views and 7th on the Ghanaian trend list, a feat most upcoming musicians struggle to achieve.
However, this feat was shortlived after Youtube blocked the video over a copyright claim made by EMPIRE because Mr. Drew sampled an instrumental of an already released song titled ‘Love Riddim’ by Rotimi which is licensed under EMPIRE.
