Ayawaso West Constituency Not NPP’s Stronghold – John Dumelo

Ghanaian actor and politician, John Dumelo have stated clearly in a recent interview that the Ayawaso West Wuogon is not a stronghold for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Speaking in an interview with Kofi Okyere Darko on the KOD Meets show, John Dumelo refuted claims that Ayawaso seats belong to the NPP.

According to him, the fact that the New Patriotic Party has occupied the seat for the past twenty years doesn’t make it their stronghold.

He said;

“… I get amazed when people say Ayawaso West is a stronghold for the New Patriotic Party. Well, that’s their opinion. Ayawaso has never been a stronghold of the NPP, they just occupied the seat for twenty years.”

He added that unlike the Bantama and Koforidua constituencies which are undisputed strongholds for the NPP, Ayawaso West isn’t.

Statistically, the parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress has disclosed that NPP only wins the seat with only 1000 votes difference.

John Dumelo is very hopeful of winning the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat.
