Ghanaian Highlife Singer and Songwriter, Dada Kwaku Duah aka Dada KD has expressed serious disappointment in Adom FM’s Captain.
The veteran musician in an exclusive interview with host Nana Kwame Gyan on an Accra-based No1 FM unequivocally accused Captain Smart of telling lies about him for being paid for performing at the Virtual Concert to launch the COVID-19 Tracker App.
It would be recalled that the Ministry of Communications headed by Ursula Owusu organized a virtual concert to launch the COVID-19 Tracker App on Monday, April 13, 2020.
The concert saw great performances Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, Kuami Eugene alongside Dada KD, Great Ampong, Diana Asamoah, Lucky Mensah, Bukom Banku, Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, and Fancy Gadam from Tamale.
Right after the concert, Hon Ursula Owusu-Ekuful came out to tell the good of Ghana that none of the musicians were paid.
But Captain Smart of Adom FM who took on the Minister confidently told Ghanaians that his brother-in-law Dada KD said he was paid for performing at the concert.
However, reacting to the issue for the first time, Dada KD in an interview with Nana Kwame Gyan on No1 FM denied ever telling Captain Smart that he was paid for the concert.
He said;
“… I am so much disappointed in Captain Smart if he is listening to me now. I never told him I was being for performing at the concert”.
Unhappy Dada KD sadly added that the senseless action of Captain Smart is likely to affect his future engagement by Hon Ursula Owusu.
“… His action can affect my future engagement by the minister,” he said.
