Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofu, the National Chairman for opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has thrown a challenge to Freddie Blay of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to a public debate on infrastructure.
It appears that the opposition NDC is ready and poised to debate the ruling government on infrastructure development and other sectors of the economy.
First, it was their flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama who threw a challenge to President Akufo-Addo to a public debate on infrastructure which the latter has declined.
Now, Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofu in a recent interview on Kumasi-based Nhyira FM has also thrown a challenge to Freddie Blay who is the National Chairman for the NPP to a debate.
Mr. Ampofu expresses readiness to debate Freddie Blay on developments by the two parties in just the Ashanti Region if he accepts the challenge.
He said;
“I won’t say that the NPP used sakawa when coming to power. For the NDC, we are committed to our promise and I want to dare everyone including the National Chairman of the NPP that the Ashanti region of Ghana is NPP’s stronghold but we should debate on who has served the region better. He can choose his own referee”.
