Ghanaian Journalist and Pollster, Frederick Noamesi has predicted a one-touch win for John Dumelo in the upcoming Parliamentary elections on December 7.
Ghana is expected to go to the polls on December 7, 2020, to elect President and also Members of Parliament (MPs).
Ghanaian actor turned Politician, John Dumelo is contesting for the Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentary seat on the ticket of opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and going to face stiff competition from the incumbent MP, Hon. Lydia Alhassan.
Hon. Lydia Alhassan became the MP for the Ayawaso West Wuogon thanks to her husband who died after suffering a short illness.
The Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency has always been the stronghold for the New Patriotic Party (NPP} since time immemorial. So Lydia Alhassan is of hope that she will retain the seat for the NPP coming December 7.
But, Pollster Frederick Noamesi thinks the NPP candidate is likely to lose the seat to the NDC candidate John Dumelo.
He argued that John Dumelo in recent times has been very engaging in the constituency and doing everything to win the hearts of the constituents.
He has succeeded in winning the students of the University of Ghana, Legon especially the ladies and GIMPA students to his side.
Moreso, Mr. Dumelo a few days ago has facilitated the dredging of a big gutter at West Legon which has brought a huge relief for the residents especially in this raining season.
“When it rains, here becomes flooded. It’s been flooding every single year. The people have complained that at least the gutter should be widened… If you look at the Christian Village bridge, it’s low and so when it rains, all the debris and everything collects and that’s how come the water levels here rise up,” John Dumelo said at the scene, Wednesday.
Having seen all these things, why won’t John Dumelo win the Ayawaso West wuogon seat over Hon Lydia Alhassan?, Frederick Dumelo quizzes on AG Radio.
