NAM1 Has Been Denied Bail, Still In Police Custody

It has emerged that the Chief Executive Officer of Menzgold Ghana Limited, Nana Appiah Mensah aka NAM1 has been denied the bail and still in police custody after an Accra Circuit court presided over by Jane Helen Akweley Quaye ruled for his bail.

On Friday, July 26, 2019, Accra Circuit court presided over by Jane Helen Akweley Quaye has granted a GH¢1 billion bail with five sureties.

To secure the bail, NAM1 is expected to present 5 sureties, three of whom must be justified. He is also expected to report himself to the police on Wednesday.

However, the latest development has shown that NAM1 has been denied the bail and still in custody even though has met all his bail conditions.

This was made public by one U.S-based Ghanaian Journalist Kevin Ekow Kevin Taylor via his popular Facebook page.

According to Kevin Ekow Kevin Taylor, the seat of government which is the Jubilee House has ordered the court to stop the bail.

His post reads;

“BREAKING NEWS!!!!!
NAM 1 being denied bail because the jubilee house has ordered the court to stop it. NAM 1 still in custody after meeting bail conditions.
#fuckeupcountru”

It is not readily known why the Jubilee House would stop the court from granting NAM1 the bail after meeting all the conditions.
