The Nyarkotey college of Holistic Medicine has won this year’s Gold Coast Excellence Awards(GCEA).
Organized by NMJ Ghana, the GCEA was established to recognize and honor the most outstanding achievements of professionals in their field.
It also encapsulates various categories which cover a wide range of industries.
The Nyarkotey college of Holistic Medicine is the first Naturopathic Medical School offering two to five years Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine using the international curriculum for Naturopathic Medical practitioners was established in 2018.
The college is recognized and accredited by the Traditional and Alternative Medicine Practice Council of the Ministry of Health based on Traditional Medicine Practice Act 575.
The college currently has closed to 30students.
Successful graduands of the college write the professional qualifying exams conducted by the Traditional Medicine Council.
The college beats competition from Medi Moses Prostate centre, Amen Scientific Herbal Hospital, and many others to be crown the winner of the excellence in Alternative Medicine.
The founder and president of the college, Dr. Raphael Nyarkotey Obu used the occasion to call on the government to speed up passage of the Traditional and Alternative Medicine bill 2018 to strengthen the profession.
The college currently has two campuses: Ashaiman behind the Municipal Assembly and Tema Community 7, post office.
