Jerry John Rawlings ended coup d’état in Ghana – Mahama

Former President John Mahama has praised late former president Jerry John Rawlings for ending coup d’état in Ghana making the country enjoy democracy till now.

In a Twitter post, Mahama stated loud and clear that the late Rawlings fight for social fight and the principles of probity and accountability to major interventions that ended coup d’état in Ghana.

The NDC flagbearer also added that late Rawlings is the founder of Ghana’s 4th Republic.

He tweeted;

“His fight for social justice, the principles of probity & accountability led to major interventions that ended coup d’etats in Ghana.

He’s the Founder of our 4th Republic, easily the longest period of stable, democratic governance in the history of Ghana.”

Mr. Rawlings died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on Thursday, November 12 after suffering a short illness.
