Legon Cities captain, Fatau Dauda, has been handed a late call-up to the Black Stars squad to face Sudan in the second leg of the 2021 AFCON Qualifier on Tuesday, November 17, 2020.
The 35-year-old experienced goalkeeper has been exceptional in the Ghana Premier League since he joined the Accra-based club last season as a free agent.
The 2014 World Cup star will replace suspended Orlando Pirates goalkeeper, Richard Ofori, who kept the post in the first leg at the Cape Coast Stadium, which Ghana won 2-0.
The 27-year-old was booked in the game making him ineligible for the return leg in Khartoum.
Dauda captained Legon Cities yesterday to a 1-1 draw against Berekum Chelsea in the the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League opener at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Legon Cities took to their official Twitter handle to announce Dauda’s invitation.

The former Ashantigold shot-stopper will join the Black Stars contingent as they depart Accra today, November 15, 2020 to the East African country for the game on Tuesday.
