Michael Essien deletes his controversial post supporting LGBTQ Community

Michael Essien

The Ghanaian former footballer Michael Essien has come under serious backlash after declaring his heavyweight support for the Lesbians, Gays, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ+) groups in Ghana.

A few hours ago, Michael Essien in an IG post assured the group of his support and urged them to continue fighting for their rights.

He posted “We see you, we hear you, we support you. Our LGBTIA community in Ghana,”

However, after serious backlash from Ghanaians, the ex-Chelsea has deleted the post.

Thus, checks made by our outfit can’t trace the post under discussion as it’s nowhere to be found on the verified Instagram page of the celebrated Ghanaian retired-footballer.
