Fast-rising Sunyani-based singer, Michael Adjei, better known as Amaru Wan has narrated how his mother disowned him for choosing music.
Growing up his mother wanted him to become a lawyer or doctor and so was disappointed to see him choose music.
In a recent interview with Amansan Krakye on Cape Coast-based Radio Central, Amaru Wan revealed that her mother has reconciled with after she saw him progressing with the music.
“My mum is rich and staying in Germany with my half cast sister but she sacked me from home because of my talent. They wanted me to become a doctor or lawyer and saw the music as stupid work. So they sacked me to go and hustle for myself if I won’t make good use of my education. So now I’m a street boy but when they realize the music is doing well my mum has called me back”, he narrated.
Amaru Wan is currently on a national radio tour with his 3 songs he has released this year. The songs are Adoma, Pretty Gals and Alhaji.
