NPP Presidential, Parliamentary Primaries Today; It’s Win Or Lose Affairs

The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has set today, Saturday, June 20, 2020, for its suspended presidential and parliamentary primaries.

The NPP will be electing qualified and transparent candidates to represent the party for the various parliamentary seat in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections on December 7, 2020.

There are about 65 candidates who are going unopposed because of their cordial relationship with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his strong influence in the party.

There are some sitting Members of Parliament who are most likely to also lose primaries to give way for new faces to come on board and help the party win more seats in Parliament.

Akufo-Addo who is still the presidential candidate is going unopposed and he is more likely to maintain Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as his running mate to win more votes from the Northern parts of the country.

There are going to be some surprises in whichever way. It is a win or lose for some of the aspirants.
