Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon. Yaw Bauben Asamoa has claimed that the current ‘dumsor’ is different from Mahama’s ‘dumsor’.
The former MP for Adenta Constituency on JoyNews’ NewsFile programme said that there is a huge difference between the two.
He, then, entreated Ghanaians to be patient with President Akufo-Addo as he working tirelessly to put fix the current power outage.
He said;
“This ‘dumsor’ is a different kind of ‘dumsor.’ We must accept it and move on because the infrastructure for transmission has come under huge pressure. It is important that we accept that there is a problem and that the problem is going to be worked on.”
He continued;
“Indebtedness to GRIDCo has been worsening over the years and it is important that we pay special attention to it. If the government continues to use the power sector to play politics, then we are going to be in this situation for a long time. We need a whole strategic look at our power sector.”
