Covid-19 Virtual Concert Was Substandard And Wasteful – Kojo Preko Dankwa

Entertainment Critic and Radio Presenter, Kojo Preko Dankwa has described as substandard and waste of resources the just end COVID-19 virtual concert.

The Ministry of Communications headed by Ursula Owusu put together a virtual concert to launch the COVID-19 Tracker App on Monday, April 13, 2020.

The concert saw performances Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, Kuami Eugene alongside Dada KD, Great Ampong, Diana Asamoah, Lucky Mensah, Bukom Banku, Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, Fancy Gadam from Tamale, among others, feature.

Although Shatta Wale came out publicly to say he performed for free at the concert, Kojo Preko Dankwa thinks otherwise.

Angry Kojo Preko Dankwa in an interview with Nana Kwame Gyan on an Accra-based No.1 FM said the concert was substandard and wasteful.

According to him, the organizers of the concert did a shoddy job which must be condemned by all Ghanaians.

He said;

“… I don’t know who the event organizers are but the concert was substandard and a waste of money. I am so much disappointed”.

Meanwhile, the Director-General of the National Information Technology Agency, Richard Okyere-Fosu has said that the app has recorded huge patronage since its launch.
