Sammy Gyamfi has come under severe social media backlash over an insensitive George Floyd-EC photo intended to chide the EC and Akufo-Addo.
The eloquent National Communications Officer of the opposition NDC intention to mock the EC and Akufo-Addo after the President gave the commission the green light to proceed with the planned new voters’ registration exercise has backfired.
The photo, which makes reference to the murder of an African-American man, George Floyd, is in protest to the Electoral Commission’s compilation of a new voters’ roll.
From the photo/ artwork, the EC Chairperson Jean Mensa is seen in a cartoon kneeling on a book placed on the neck of a handcuffed man with President Akufo-Addo kneeling on the man as well.

But, social media didn’t go light with the firebrand politician as expected with many saying that he was rather mocking the late George Floyd who was murdered by a white Police Officer.
The Flyer Sammy Gyamfi has posted can do us more harm as a Nation. Floyd’s issue shouldn’t be a one to play with in any day.
It’s very sensitive to the world at large. Americans can pick up this flyer and it will start from that point.🤦🏿♂️
Ah The NDC🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️
